The Breakfast Club

If theres one thing that I learned from this movies is that you should never be afraid to express who you really are and that you have to break the boundaries that prevent you from being who you are in life. The movie has 5 protagonist: the trouble maker, the nerd, the princess, the jock and the basket case. All these protagonist impacted me when the started to share their feelings with one another. But the one that impacted me the most was the trouble maker. Its very difficult to understand these types of people because their attitude is mostly negative and often end up breaking rules and getting in trouble. As he explained, he is who he is because of his life and family. His father docent love him and sometimes abuses him and his mother, he doesn't have some privileges that other people do, and since he's a bad influence he doesn't have many friends and gets treated like a criminal. Its not his fault that he acts that way. Another character that impacted me and that had some believable problems was the jock. He says that he has to be perfect in everything because he doesn't want to disappoint his father. Sometimes parents are guilty for the problems of their children because some of them don't know how to raise the. Instead of obligating their child to be something their not, they should give them a chance to follow their dreams and make their one lives. And I have to say that the least that convinced be was the nerd. I am a nerd but I don't have to worry about being perfect and I certainly wouldn't try suicide. Yeah, sometimes their will be pressure with grades but you just have to accept that you're not perfect and thats ok. But I do have to compare my self with him because I want my parents to be proud of me 100% of the time and when I have a bad grade, sometimes I don't even tell them because I feel embarrassed of having that grade. I sometimes see my friends getting graded like a c or a d and I think of me getting a grade like that and my mind goes thru hell. Its difficult being intelligent but being intelligent in school is one thing, being intelligent in life is another. At the end of the movie the 5 protagonist left a not to the teacher about who they are. They accepted their personalities as not because of society, because thats who they are and they are happy with themselves.

Star Wars Movies and Episodes

Right now we have 7 Star Wars movies and for me they are all excellent movies with genius ideas in them. I image how George Lucas mind would be after all these movies, his creative thought just exploded when he made these movies. But enough of erasing George Lucas mind, lets talk about Star Wars. These movies are used of a futuristic past where instead of God people believe in the Force. We hear the Force in all of these movies, we see the good side of its and then we see the bad side of it. We even see how a young Jedi falls into the dark side of the Force. These movies stared with Episode 4 to 6 and then stared Episode 1-3. In the first episodes 4 to 6 we see a young Jedi who struggles to know who he is. He then encounters an old Jedi who will train him to become a new hope for the Jedi. He makes friends in the way, kisses his sister and then fights his evil father who then regrets his evil actions and has a few moments to see his son so he can die in peace. The other episodes that go from 1 to 3 show us the beginning of another Jedi that is the antagonist in the other movies. We see how he transforms into one of the best Jedi's and then falls to the Dark side.

A few months back in the moth of December in 2016, we saw the release of Episode 7, it was a hit in all the nations world wide because of the new special effects, new characters and new enemies. We see the return of Han Solo and Chewy with General Leia, we se the Millennium Falcon and then we get a little glimpse of old Luke at the end. it was great movie and I really enjoyed it. I think that it had more good reviews than bad ones. I really recommend these movies if your a person who like sic-fi action and adventure. If you like these 3 things, these are the movies for you.

"Zathura"

Last week we finished the movie Zathura which is a with a large amount of messages  pointing towards families. The story begins with to brothers playing with their divorced father but they are taking turns. They start fighting when the little brother starts playing but gets interrupted by his old brother. They both fight for everything especially when they both want to spend time with their father. The problem is that they fight for everything, they fight if they want to do something different, they fight if they don't get what they want, they fight for attention. I have experience with this problem because I have an older sister. She is now in college and I don't see her very often but we talk and laugh about or fights in the past. We used to fight about almost everything, just like this two brothers. We would fight about who would get the dog poop that we had to clean up after. I remember fighting in food places, she would try and take a bite from my food and I would get mad and get a bite from her food. We where so childish but now we understand that siblings need to stay together and fight together. But you know what, fighting between siblings is perfectly normal. I have never heard o any siblings saying that they never fought because thats impossible. Its like a fight for dominance in the world. At first my sister was the one who dominated but now I think Im catching up to her.

Another thing that caught my eye in this movie is that their parents are divorced. Now, my parents are divorced two and I don't really want to compare them beaches its a really personal problem. But I can agree with the two brothers in Zathura when it comes two sadness and anger. At first I didn't really know nothing about divorce because I was little, but if you ask my sister, for her its was one of the saddest days of her life. Eventually my dad found another woman and they got married. That really angerd my sister because it feel like your dad forgot about your mother. My sister really went through some emotion in that period and I now understand it. Having divorced parents its the worst because you feel like they don't care for you anymore, but the do. You just have too accept it and move one. My sister still has some problems with my dad but know she has a little bother that can help her when she falls. Thats what siblings are for, to lift you up when nobody else can.

Always stick together because if you don't, nobody will be there to put you back in your life.

"Alien"

I love this film because its another classic and in that time it was something different
and I imagine that when people saw them the really enjoyed it because its a really good movie and even better when its horror. It was a hole new level of horror the they added space and aliens in it. I know that there where other movies before it but the effects in this one was one of the qualities that made it so popular. It looks so real and it feel so real also. There where also other hours movies that reached a new level of scare, for example: A Nightmare in Elm Street, this movie really affected the viewers because the effects where also so real and the suspense was in every corner of the movie. Before the movie everyone slept with a bat in their bat (obviously not me). But the director off both movies did an amazing job making a movie turn into reality in our minds. I think that it has to be an awesome job to make a movie and the see it become a success in theatres around the world. And to think the hard work of the special effects in these movies. In Alien the the alien took a log time to make because it was so big and the movement had to be perfect in every scene. In Nightmare on Elm Street the blood was something that happened every 10 minutes. Everyone had to have a hole in their chest, Their head cut off, for that to look real it had to be worked really hard. Although I do prefer computer animations more that real life special effects because it may look a little more better. Thats why movies are now so good, the hard work put on the animations. For Example: parts of Jurassic Park where made with computer animations but when they had to get close to a dinosaur it was a robot. Now that I think about it, the two effects match pretty good in movies. But when it comes to horror movies people love them by the effects. There are a certain percent of people who like to get scared. I don't really like the feeling but I know what a horror movie fan looks like when their watching it. They like the thrill of being scared and often laugh when it happens. I conclusion, animations make  awesome movies.

"Ink heart"

This is a very great movie for all ages. I really enjoyed the movies plot and everything else. It also remembers the viewer that its always not that bad to disconnect from technology and read a good book. I love books and I always pick the ones with the most scene of adventure in them. As a reader of books I too agree that when I read a good book I get sucked into the plot and I care for the protagonist. Its a way to recharge you're imagination and bring new thoughts to our mind. All this reminds me of a book that I read recently called "Expeditioners", its an adventure book about two brothers and their little sister who go on an adventure too try and find  piece of treasure that their parents (they died) where trying to find. They go on an amazing adventure full with risk, danger and problems with an evil corporation. I really recommend it, its for all ages and its really good. It really felt like I was in a cave with them or riding on horses with them. Going back to Inkheart, my book is a little similar based on trying to change lives for the better. Inkheart has actually a better message that my book because like I explained before, the fight evil to save lives. I think that one of messages of Inkheart is that reading a book can be good but you can't always learn something from it. I really don't know but what I do know is that a book can change your life depending on the message you take from it. In my conclusion it is a really good movie and I would definitely recommend it for my family.

"THE PRINCESS BRIDE"

This delightful movie brings us memories of all our childhood books and fairy tales. Also it really reminds me of other novels such as "Cinderella" and other that I really don't remember. The movie is very enjoyable to watch and its funny because its also kind of a parody of fairy tales. The movie isn't a movie for young kids because some of the language they used was bad but it was still very funny. The movie also showed allot the meaning of true love that I really don't believe much in the way people are today. Maybe in the past, love was something that actually matters and that was taken very serious. But now, love is the least thing that people care about when they are in a relationship. I think that today society only cares about attractiveness and body parts that they like. People only care about whats outside more thats what in the inside, and that is what truly matters. But when Im speaking in the true love in family, the family is one of the most important qualities too succeed in life. I personally love my family. If I fight with my mom or dad,I can't stand to not say sorry because I care so much forth and I couldn't imagine my life without them. In conclusion this movie brings up allot of aspects in life and the most important is true love.

"POPEYE"

This musical is a reincarnation of the famous cartoon of Popeye. I agree with the teacher when we say that its a classic and I still remember the first  time I saw it when I was a little kid. Since the movie is a musical it has songs in the whole movie and If I had too pick my favourite it would be Olives song about Bluto 'He's Large". Its so funny how she was singing the same song but at the same time she was trying to leave the wedding. This movie really brought some memories like from my childhood and from the death of Robin Williams with is one of my favourite movie actors. My favourite scene from the movie was when Popeye decided to fight that giant man baby and ended up beating him. I like it because I think its the first time Popeye shows his incredible strength. I find it interesting too that the location in which the movie was based was real. Its in the coast in Italy and by searching for it it was almost the same. Houses made of wood, boats, very tiny but very impressive though. Now I read the review from Robert Ebert and it had some really impressive things on it. He wrote of the participation of all the people, the detail of Sweethaven and how Sweet Pea was the directors grandson. But this movie really was well done. It had all the things that make us remember about Popeye today.
