"Ink heart"

This is a very great movie for all ages. I really enjoyed the movies plot and everything else. It also remembers the viewer that its always not that bad to disconnect from technology and read a good book. I love books and I always pick the ones with the most scene of adventure in them. As a reader of books I too agree that when I read a good book I get sucked into the plot and I care for the protagonist. Its a way to recharge you're imagination and bring new thoughts to our mind. All this reminds me of a book that I read recently called "Expeditioners", its an adventure book about two brothers and their little sister who go on an adventure too try and find  piece of treasure that their parents (they died) where trying to find. They go on an amazing adventure full with risk, danger and problems with an evil corporation. I really recommend it, its for all ages and its really good. It really felt like I was in a cave with them or riding on horses with them. Going back to Inkheart, my book is a little similar based on trying to change lives for the better. Inkheart has actually a better message that my book because like I explained before, the fight evil to save lives. I think that one of messages of Inkheart is that reading a book can be good but you can't always learn something from it. I really don't know but what I do know is that a book can change your life depending on the message you take from it. In my conclusion it is a really good movie and I would definitely recommend it for my family.

"THE PRINCESS BRIDE"

This delightful movie brings us memories of all our childhood books and fairy tales. Also it really reminds me of other novels such as "Cinderella" and other that I really don't remember. The movie is very enjoyable to watch and its funny because its also kind of a parody of fairy tales. The movie isn't a movie for young kids because some of the language they used was bad but it was still very funny. The movie also showed allot the meaning of true love that I really don't believe much in the way people are today. Maybe in the past, love was something that actually matters and that was taken very serious. But now, love is the least thing that people care about when they are in a relationship. I think that today society only cares about attractiveness and body parts that they like. People only care about whats outside more thats what in the inside, and that is what truly matters. But when Im speaking in the true love in family, the family is one of the most important qualities too succeed in life. I personally love my family. If I fight with my mom or dad,I can't stand to not say sorry because I care so much forth and I couldn't imagine my life without them. In conclusion this movie brings up allot of aspects in life and the most important is true love.

"POPEYE"

This musical is a reincarnation of the famous cartoon of Popeye. I agree with the teacher when we say that its a classic and I still remember the first  time I saw it when I was a little kid. Since the movie is a musical it has songs in the whole movie and If I had too pick my favourite it would be Olives song about Bluto 'He's Large". Its so funny how she was singing the same song but at the same time she was trying to leave the wedding. This movie really brought some memories like from my childhood and from the death of Robin Williams with is one of my favourite movie actors. My favourite scene from the movie was when Popeye decided to fight that giant man baby and ended up beating him. I like it because I think its the first time Popeye shows his incredible strength. I find it interesting too that the location in which the movie was based was real. Its in the coast in Italy and by searching for it it was almost the same. Houses made of wood, boats, very tiny but very impressive though. Now I read the review from Robert Ebert and it had some really impressive things on it. He wrote of the participation of all the people, the detail of Sweethaven and how Sweet Pea was the directors grandson. But this movie really was well done. It had all the things that make us remember about Popeye today.

"LITTLE BOY"

In this movie, the situation takes place thru WWII and its about a boy trying to get his father home because he was taken hostage by Japan. The movie shows allot of racism toward the japanese that where liberated in the states while the war was happening. There was also allot of bullying especially towards Pepper who was called "Little Boy" by his usual small height. In one part of the movie, the Father of the church gives Little Boy a list in which he said that if he completes it, he will have enough fate to bring his father home. The list included; Visit the Sick which was the easiest won and Bury the Dead which was the last one and it was difficult because a friend he made called Hashimoto was almost killed and the government said that his dad died. In my opinion if one day I want to grow my fate and someone gives me the list, the hardest one would also be Bury the Dead because its a very sad part of life and no one would like to experience it. Also that feeling to be pressure by society is very bad and makes someone feel pressure. Trying to do something while taking care of other sis very frustrating. I guess thats our prejudice does show in this situation but I know that is a very bad feeling and is one that no one likes to show. In the movie  Little boy's brother, London, feel prejudice with society because he feels that it was his fault that his dad went to the war. That brings up all sorts of problems like not feeling accepted. But he eventually changes in a situation that he and a dead son father in which he hurts Hashimoto. He stopped the man and eventually became friends with Hashimoto too. Talking about forgiveness there are various beliefs in the movie. The list symbolises the will of God and if you complete it you're fate will grow. The mustard seed symbolises the strong belief, so strong it would move a mountain. The boots symbolises the fate that there dad will come back and throwing them away will waste it. The magician symbolises the belief of the mind to move things.

ARTHUR CHRISTMAS

This movie shows us how christmas has changed during the years and how the magic of it all comes tumbling down. In Christmas, every child that believes in Santa sleep with the thought of having a gift under the tree in the morning. In the movie a very faithful chid ask for a "pink twinkle bike" and she is very excited for it because every child that actually mails a note to the North Pole has to believe in Santa. Also, the movie presents all the santa's thru out history and by the photos the difference between St. Nicolas and the last Santa, its a pretty big difference between appearance and laziness. From all the Santa's I prefer Grandsanta, he may be old but he still believes in the magic of Christmas. In the movie, Christmas has changed and has moved into a military state of order and speed. Santa only delivers one present now and because of that he is very lazy, in one scene a child wakes up and Santa is in the room. The importance of Santa not being scene is very big because Santa is only one man that lives in the North Pole and if someone knows that he is real, the world would go crazy looking for him and Christmas would be ruined.  I was a believer in Santa until one Christmas morning I woke up early and saw my mom putting a present under the tree. My reaction was "I knew it". The technology that the North Pole uses in the movie is something out of this world. Santa doesn't use a sleigh anymore, he uses a big ship that travels faster than the speed of sound. The evolution is understandable but it takes the magic out of Christmas and its just not the same. Moral of the story: Don't let techology ruin the magic.

THE ADVENTURES IN BABYSITING

In this movie witch we finished to watch last week had allot of important scene such as: the part that they're in a building with there friend who was a bad guy, when the real bad guy shows up he says to there friend to hand over the kids, this show true friendship when he decides to punch the bad guy and help them escape. The other scene is when the arrive at there home and a friend of Chris brought the little girl her skate, this show that love is so strong that it can drive someone to do these sorts of things. For me the message in the movie is to always be responsible and have a quick thinking because this movie has allot of this and the main goal is to teach us about family too, they survived the night because they stayed together and helped each other. my thoughtS of the movie are that it was GREAT. The movie had action, comedy, a little drama, love, this movie is a perfect family movie to if you want to laugh more than you want to feel awkward. With the critic that Roger did I do agree with him because it was a parte in the movie that make us feel relaxed and feel joy because even the they where being chases, just by singing they relaxed and jus sang along. With the other critic of Roger, I guess that in the term of realism he is right and I agree with him, the movie had some scene where the situation didn't had a real probability in happening in real life. Ignoring all this, its a great movie and I really recommend it.

MONSTER HOUSE & HOCUS POCUS

Both of these films are based halloween and mysterious happenings in the day. In both of the movies, children are the protagonist and their purpose is to solve the problem. The feelings that are more addressed in the films are fear, friendship, love and intelligence. The superstitions appeared in the form of possession, witches, magic and zombies. The situation in each of the movies was to stop the evil and save the day with a happy ending. They way that the manage to stop the problems was successful but it also had it flaws. The movie "Monster House" teacher us that sometimes you have to let go of the people that pass away in our lives so we can live better and in the movie "Hocus Pocus" the lesson is that family is always important.
